Al Maryah Community Bank: The First Digital Bank in the United Arab Emirates 

Accelerating Digital Finance Transformation in the UAE

As the first digital bank in the United Arab Emirates, the newly launched Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank) had the objective to digitize the banking industry. Think Media Labs collaborated with Mbank to build internal flows and processes and contribute to the acceleration of the launch of services and features.

Key Strategic Activities

  • To support the rollout of new services and products, TML enhanced Mbank’s internal processes by developing detailed systems, business flows, checklists, and step-by-step guides.  

  • TML developed strategies to attract new customers. These strategies included the design and execution of targeted marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives to build and maintain a loyal customer base. With data analytics, TML optimized these campaigns to reach relevant audience segments, thereby maximizing customer acquisition rates and ensuring sustained engagement. 

  • TML also played a significant role in the rapid development of business requirements for Mbank’s digital services and app features, ensuring they met industry standards and exceeded customer expectations. 

  • TML was involved in building a skilled and capable team at Mbank. They assisted in forming the marketing department and conducted training sessions and capacity-building workshops. These initiatives aimed to equip Mbank’s team with the necessary skills to manage and sustain the bank’s growth. 


Conclusion

MBank successfully detailed processes and flows and increased the adoption rate of digital bank services through strategic campaigns. The partnership between Al Maryah Community Bank and Think Media Labs resulted in a successful launch and rapid growth of the bank’s digital services. Through strategic campaigns and internal systems, Mbank significantly increased its customer base and established a strong brand presence in the UAE’s digital finance sector.
