Facebook promised launching differentiated stand-alone apps from the social network, and so it did one day before its 10th anniversary by Paper App, a news reader.
Facebook created a way to enjoy friends’ stories and a way to lookup a range of new subjects, from familiar sources and fresh points of views through Paper. The app allows users to share stories that matter most, read Facebook combined with news reader, and helps filtering original Facebook news feeds, “It’s trying to appeal to the people who want less of the random updates about their friends cats and babies, and maybe more of what their friends are talking about that’s in the news or what’s happening today that’s in their area of interest” said Will Oremus, a tech blogger.
Paper includes users’ Facebook News Feed free of written posts. Readers can customize other sections and choose from a range of sections about photography, sports, food, science, and design. Apple users can go the App Store on iTunes and download the app for free.
