Few days are separating us from Ramadan, but we can see that the online media has already started its work.
This year also Google is taking Ramadan digital by its YouTube channel that is dedicated to sharing the Islamic prayers from Mecca every single day. Millions of people on every place on Earth will be able to experience this moment and be tuned to whatâ€™s going on through these videos. In addition to this channel there is also another one specialized for Ramadan shows. According to the official Google Blog, this YouTube Ramadan channelÂ enables people to watch their favorite shows, at any time and in any place. Google also created a special feature. The Google+ hangouts that bring guests from variable backgrounds that allow users to get engaged in lots of other stuff like arts, cooking, eating habits, etc.
Other Social Media platforms have their own share of this digital twist in Ramadan. Twitter has its Ramadan hashtag #Ramadan or Ramadan trending nowadays, where people use it to express their feelings and share what they are doing, so that people all over the globe would be able to know whatâ€™s going on in different places.
Mobile apps are the most famous among all because mobile devices are heavily used by people. People find these apps very useful and accurate. Ramadan applications act as a reminder of prayer times as well as Iftar and Sehar times, and of course they allow users not to lose track of the Qibla position especially for those who travel a lot. Other phone applications have special Ramadan prayers and Quran. These online versions of Quran and prayers have been asked for by those who donâ€™t like to read in books, or donâ€™t have enough time.
